Explore the roles

ONE TEAM / ONE METHODOLOGY / ONE STANDARD

This is one team, built around a shared standard of AI leadership.

Two senior roles

Different mandates. One purpose.

Both roles require senior business credibility. Neither is a technology sales role or a light-touch advisory position.

01

Regional AI Director

Build The AI Centre in your region.

Develop trusted senior relationships, identify where businesses need AI leadership and bring the right capability around each client.

  • Represent The AI Centre with business leaders and regional partners.
  • Develop qualified opportunities through trusted relationships.
  • Shape the client need before assembling the right leadership response.
  • Maintain a strong local relationship throughout the engagement.
02

Fractional Chief AI Officer

Lead AI inside the client business.

Provide board-level AI leadership when the business needs senior ownership but does not yet need that capability full-time.

  • Align AI direction with business strategy and commercial priorities.
  • Create clear ownership, governance and decision discipline.
  • Prioritise opportunities and mobilise the right delivery partners.
  • Remain accountable for adoption, measurable value and continuous improvement.

THE ROLES CAN COMBINE

One person can be both a Regional AI Director and a Fractional Chief AI Officer.

Where experience, capacity and client need align, the same person can build the regional relationship and undertake Fractional Chief AI Officer engagements. The two mandates remain clear and distinct.

Who we are looking for

The standard matters more than the title.

01

Board-level credibility

You can work confidently with owners, managing directors and senior leadership teams.

02

Transformational background

You have led significant business transformation and understand adoption, behaviour change and sustained delivery.

03

Applied AI understanding

You have a deep practical understanding of AI as a technology, including its capabilities, limitations and risks. You do not need to be an AI academic.

04

Commercial judgement

You understand how established businesses make decisions, allocate resources and create value.

05

Clarity in complexity

You can turn a broad, fast-moving subject into clear choices and practical next steps.

06

Constructive challenge

You ask the difficult questions while maintaining trust and momentum around the leadership table.

07

Team discipline

You work as part of one team, using shared standards, methodology and quality controls.

08

Responsible leadership

You believe commercial progress and responsible AI adoption must be designed together.

How we get to know each other

A considered process for a senior relationship.

The process is designed to establish whether there is a genuine fit on experience, judgement, values and ambition. It works both ways.

  1. 01

    Initial conversation

A confidential discussion about your experience, ambitions and the role that interests you.

  2. 02

    Leadership evidence

We explore the situations you have led, the decisions you have owned and the outcomes you have delivered.

  3. 03

    Mutual assessment

We consider values, commercial fit, working style and your ability to apply The AI Centre methodology.

  4. 04

    A clear decision

If the fit is right on both sides, we agree the appropriate role, scope and next steps.
